Congratulations on making your first hoop. Taping is the hardest part of the process. It helps to keep your eye on where you’re headed and overlap the tape with the 2nd color to the first color just a little. How wide is your tape? If it’s 1 1/2 inch tape, start with more of an angle with the tape. Take it slow and keep the roll of tape really close to the hoop while working. It’s a lot harder if you allow the tape to unroll too much as you’re taping. Also, if you have 3 different colors with 1 1/2 inch tape, you will be overlapping each color to the previous color.

OK, I made my hoop, bought my tape and I was ready to create a masterpiece. However, I’m having difficulty keeping the spaces even while I tape. Spacing is important because I have a three color spiral design. Do you have any tips to help keep the spacing even?

you have no idea how much u inspire me when i started hooping i wieghed about 230lbs had a horrible limp when i walked somedays stairs were just impossible i couldnt lift my arms straight up over my head and i couldnt touch my hands behind my back. now 4yrs later im at 135 my pain is gone and my mobility is back i feel younger and look it too. bless you and the hula hoop

Thanks for your comments. A twin hoop is made the same as any other hoop. You just cut the tubing for 2 hoops the exact same length and then put the connectors in. Hope this answers your question.

Greetings,I’m sad there are no dvd’s available for home use,but my question for today is how to make twin hoops. I’ve viewed your turtorial on how to make a hoop, I’ve also made several hoops using your technique.I want to make a variety of different size hoops and make the twin hoop also,to me symmetry is important.Aways your time and help are really appreciated.P.S.
